Editorial Policy
Our goal is to provide clear starting points that readers can understand, customize, and verify before use.
Scope
The policy applies to independent templates, guides, tools, category pages, and updates made by the EnglishTemplates Editorial Team. Sponsored submissions follow this policy where relevant and the separate Sponsored Content Policy.
Content standards
- Titles and introductions should accurately describe the page.
- Templates should make placeholders, assumptions, and requested actions clear.
- Guides should distinguish general information from professional advice.
- Claims that can change should be qualified or supported by an appropriate source.
- Copied, deceptive, dangerous, discriminatory, or intentionally misleading content is not accepted.
Review and maintenance
We review content for readability, formatting, internal links, metadata, duplicated builder material, and reader usefulness. Because the library is large, updates are prioritized by severity, traffic, reader reports, and the risk of outdated information. A reviewed page may still require customization for local rules or organizational policies.
Corrections
Readers can report an error through the contact page. A useful report includes the page URL, the exact wording in question, the proposed correction, and a reliable source when the issue is factual. We may correct, clarify, update, redirect, or remove material after review.
Authorship and automation
Pages are maintained under the EnglishTemplates Editorial Team name unless another contributor is clearly identified. Editing tools may assist with formatting, link checking, spelling, or draft organization, but published content should receive human review. Automated output is not treated as a verified source.
Conflicts and commercial influence
Sponsored content is kept in a distinct section and visibly labeled. Payment does not permit hidden advertising, false claims, prohibited topics, or removal of required disclosures. Editorial pages are not changed to favor a sponsor merely because a commercial relationship exists.
